DE HOOP NATURE RESERVE
De Hoop is a wondrous realm of Fynbos, Renosterveld and marine ecosystems where rare species from cape vultures to southern right whales thrive. These iconic sea mammals have inspired the famous Whale Trail – 55 km of pure coastal magic.

Gate times: 07:00 – 18:00
Office hours: 07:30 – 16:00
FEES & PERMITS
Visit the reserve website for up-to-date information on obtaining permits and fees for De Hoop Nature Reserve and The Whale Trail.
No day visitor permits issued after 16h00.
Whale Trail bookings usually require bookings several months in advance.
Conservation fees are waived with a valid Wild Card.
Note: Children under 8 years old are not permitted on the Whale Trail.
