This route is steady and gentle. It offers diverse, 360° views of Hout Bay, the Southern Peninsula and out over the Cape Flats and beyond. Stop at the lovely De Villier's Dam for a snack at the top!
OUT & BACK
Walk along the road initially and shortly after the 'Constantia Nek' sign take the path left that goes above the jeep track. The gradient rises quickly and crosses over the jeep track. When you join the jeep track is it levels out as you begin to approach De Villier's Dam.
Construction on the De Villiers Reservoir commenced in 1907. To assist in the construction of it a track was laid in order to run a cart carrying supplies. It later became known as the Trolley Track.
