At the end of May, the Forge app turned 1! A little while later, after months of work, we released our biggest update to date featuring super accurate trail maps from new regions in the Winelands and the Overberg and a host of UI updates and other features.
However, we need you, the user, to tell us how you feel about the updates, the app in general and what you'd like to see going forward. Instead of bombarding you with that annoying "Rate Us" message in the app, we thought we'd add a little incentive. Beer!
The reason app ratings and reviews are so important to us, is because it gives us an opportunity to see what you enjoy most and where we can improve and also help others make a decision as to whether they should get the app (as if it isn’t already obvious). Being a free app, we don’t ask for much in return except for some feedback so we can make the app even better for you and the outdoor community.
So we present to you the Lite-est competition! This is how easy it is:
Head to your relevant app store and rate and leave an honest review. As much as 5 stars make us feel warm and tingly, an honest review and rating is more important to us and other users. Winner will be strictly chosen via a lucky draw, not by rating.
Once we've received your entry, you will go into a lucky draw for the prize at the end of July.
Want to increase your chances of winning? Tell your friends and hiking/running mates to enter the competition. In the entry form, include the names of people who you've referred. If we receive a screenshot from any of those people, you will get another entry for every person you've successfully referred, increasing your chances of winning.
Easy as that, five minutes of your time for… an entire case of Devils Peak Lite Lager! That's it. The lucky draw winner gets 24 cold ones.
The fine print:
The competition is only open to people over the age of 18.
The competition runs for the entire month of July 2020. The winner will be announced on 1 August.
If you've already reviewed the app, screenshot that review.

It’s even got fewer calories than an apple (95 calories). Devil’s Peak Lite is brewed for real beer lovers who are active and calorie-conscious, but haven’t lost their love for fun, socialising and unwinding. It’s crisp, smooth and refreshing with all the flavour you ever hoped for in a Lite beer.
