EAGLE'S NEST
If you want to sneak in a quick sunrise mission or bag a peak before you start your day, then this hike is ideal. After a quick ascent from the Constantia Nek parking lot you'll soon see the sunrise over the city.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Walk along the road initially and shortly after the 'Constantia Nek' sign take the path left that goes above the jeep track. The gradient rises quickly and rejoins the jeep track. Take a sharp left and head along sand road, at the end of which you rejoin the short path to the trig beacon.
TRAIL TRIVIA
Orangekloof (the valley west of Eagle's Nest) has been under special protection for over 70 years. Numerous precious indigenous trees such as the rooiels, Cape beech and hard pear is found here.
