You set off from Tafelberg Rd near the Table Mountain monument and head up to the Contour Path. Follow the signs and sneak a short left to begin the trudge up. The path is a long series of zig-zags and is quite rocky under-foot. Make sure you have enough water for the way up as it can get very warm. Once at the top of the gorge, go left. This path will take you all the way to the Beacon.
