GROOTVADERSBOSCH NATURE RESERVE

Grootvadersbosch is famed for some of the province's biggest forest patches and the unique stand of Californian Redwoods (Sequoias). The reserve is a birdwatcher's and hiker's delight with comfortable accommodation and many trails to explore by bike and on foot. Boosmansbos offers genuine wilderness hiking in the Langeberg.

Gate times: 07:00 – 18:00
Office hours: 07:30–16:00

FEES & PERMITS

  • Visit the Grootvadersbosch NR webpage or Boosmansbos Wilderness Area for up-to-date information on obtaining permits and fees.

  • Permits may be purchased at the reserve office or bookings can be made via the CapeNature Central Reservations office. No permits are issued after 16h00.

  • Conservation fees are waivered with a valid Wild Card.
